What has a 300 mile range and can beat an M5 in a drag race? The Tesla Model S, of course. While CEO Elon Musk is still grinning from ear to ear about SpaceX’s successful cargo run to the ISS, this new video by Automobile Magazine is certainly going to pad Tesla Motors’ ego. The brand new all-electric vehicle seats 7 passengers, has 416 hp and 443 lb-ft torque, and beat the M5 in a drag race from 0-100 mph two out of three times. While more EVs debut and Tesla continues to fund electric-charging infrastructure, this experiment shows carbon-free vehicles are becoming more relevant. Check the video for yourself.
