LG G6 Available for Preorder on Verizon Today

If you’re in the market for the LG G6, the newest 2017 flagship smartphone on the market, Verizon customers are in luck. Preorders for the devices are launching today on their new unlimited plans for $28/mo or $672.  Verizon’s also including a few promotions such as a free 43″ LG Smart TV for activating a new line of service with Verizon Unlimited (if you buy the LG G6 via “device payment”). $200 smartphone trade-ins are also available by activating with device payment.

The G6 comes with 5.7″ QHD display (with an incredible 1440 x 2880 resolution and 564 pixels per inch), Android 7 Nougat, a Snapdragon 821 CPU, 4GB of RAM, a 3200mAh battery, IP68 water resistance, Gorilla Glass 5, fingerprint sensor, and a premium metallic design. It forgoes the “modular” design of the LG G5 of last year, and it actually looks more like an Samsung Galaxy s7 Edge with its slim, clean appearance and incredibly thin bezels. USB-C charging is here again (and fast charging), as it continues to become standard for Android smartphones and other devices. What’s the best part? Perhaps that a headphone jack is included and a MicroSD slot for additional storage for all of your photos and videos.

Full details can be found  in Verizon’s press release below. Tech Void should received a review unit shortly to give you a fuller picture of the device.

Introducing the LG G6 on Verizon – Big screen. Small phone. Unlimited data.

Preorder the new LG G6TM smartphone from Verizon and have it in your hands when it launches on March 30 on the unlimited network you deserve. Starting at $28 a month for 24 months on Verizon device payment ($672 retail), the G6 is available with three great promotions when you get your LG G6 at Verizon.

For a limited time, you can get a free LG 43” Smart TV ($349.99 value)* when you activate a new line of service on Verizon Unlimited and purchase an LG G6 on device payment. Trading in a select device? You can get a $200 trade-in credit when activating an LG G6 on device payment on Verizon Unlimited**. To help you on the go and at home, you can also get a Google Home powered by the Google Assistant when you purchase the LG G6***.

The big screen that fits in your hand

What sets the LG G6 apart from other phones is its ability to house a large display in a small body, which gives you more screen size without turning it into a phablet. The G6 strikes a perfect balance between the LG V20 and its predecessor, the LG G5, while maintaining the usable screen size of the former. The result is a sculpted aluminum and plastic phone that is almost all screen and super easy to hold.

The large screen gives you more room to do everything you can do with unlimited data. Preview photos before you send them, scan texts and quickly browse websites without worrying about overages. The large screen also lets you take full advantage of the improved multi-tasking features available in Android Nougat. In addition, the 18:9 aspect ratio, QHD+ resolution and Dolby Vision offer a superior picture quality for a more authentic cinematic viewing experience,* perfect for streaming movies.

Capture the bigger picture

Capture more of your life with the LG G6’s dual 13MP rear cameras. The wide-angle camera has a 125° lens to capture panoramic shots that regular smartphone cameras can’t. The standard camera delivers sharp details and optical image stabilization so you don’t have to worry about blurry images. Also, effortlessly switch between the two rear cameras with a smooth zoom transition. This is a particularly great feature for the budding cinematographers that want more variation in their shots.

The wide-angle rear and front cameras allow you to capture photos and videos with a wider perspective – meaning there’s room for more friends in your group shots and bigger landscapes in your travel photos. Once you have those great photos, Verizon Unlimited lets you upload them to your favorite social media sites or share them with friends quickly, thanks to the blazingly fast speeds of Verizon 4G LTE.

Additional camera features include an18:9 camera roll display that saves time by letting you quickly review photos while you’re lining up the next shot, four different square camera modes for Instagram fans and the ability to combine two photos into one or create 2×2 photo/video grids to share with friends. Even better, you can use the multiple cameras to capture wide and tight shots simultaneously.

Built for the unexpected

A stunning display and all those brilliant cameras won’t do you much good if you are afraid to use them. Luckily, the LG G6 was designed to be dependable even when the going gets rough. It passed 14 different military-standard 810G tests,** meaning you can take the LG G6 just about anywhere thanks to its water and dust resistant shell. It has an IP68 rating, so it is sealed against dust and can be safely immersed in up to one meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
